Le nouvel album des Simian Mobile Disco est enfin dispo. Voici l'heure des critiques ...

Et oui j'ai bien dit bien critiques, car même après plusieurs écoutes je reste décu par ce deuxième opus que j'attendais tant!

Déjà à l'époque de l'annonce de "Temporary Pleasure" (c'est le nom de l'album) le groupe avait balancé un premier single qui ne m'avait vraiment pas marqué, je parle de "Synthesise". Le titre passe inaperçu et ne vaut pas vraiment le détour.

Petite lueur d'espoir avec un second pre-single "1000 Horses Can't Be Wrong". Ca devient plus intéressant même si j'en attendais bien plus d'un groupe qui m'avait scotché sur leur premier album "Attack Decay Sustain"!

Il faudra attendre le 3ième single pour se dire que les SMD savent encore faire du bon son! Le morceau s'intitule "Audacity of Huge" et dès les premières secondes on avait envie de se trémousser! C'est ca qu'on voulait entendre!

Quoiqu'il en soit, l'album est sorti le 17 aout passé et j'avais quand même hâte d'écouter ca. La première écoute fut difficile vu que l'on connaissait déjà 3 titres et que sur un album de 10 plages ca fait beaucoup ... Mais il y a tout de même 2 morceaux 'inconnus' qui font clairement la différence. Je parle de "Cruel Intentions" en feat avec la chanteuse de Gossip 'Beth Ditto' et un autre featuring sur "Off The Map" avec Jamid Lidel (en écoute sur ce post)

On notera également que sur ces 10 morceaux, figurent tout de même 7 featurings avec des artistes en tout genre comme Alexis Taylor des Hot Chip, Telepathe ou encore les rappeurs Young Fathers.

Vous l'aurez compris, les SMD m'ont décu! 3, 4 morceaux à tirer du lot, j'en attendais beaucoup plus d'eux! Heureusement qu'ils assurent en live!
