A la manière de The Klaxons, Late of the Pier est un de ces nouveaux groupes qui se fond aussi bien dans le décor électro, que rock!

Formé en 2001 en Angleterre, le groupe sortira plusieurs titres en 2007 dont Bathroom Gurgle produit par Erol Alkan! S'en suit une apparition dans une des compilations Kitsunée et le groupe se trouve rapidement en 1er partie de The Kaiser Chiefs ou encore Soulwax, Justice, où ils auront l'occasion de présenter leur 1er album 'Fantasy Black Channel'.
